Order and Serial Number Status Code Table - SET 7
This program enables Kerridge and your system administrator to set up system and user defined order status codes, and serial number status codes.
This program also supports easy color identification for serial numbers on inquiry screens, based on status codes. By assigning colors to serial number statuses, you can easily and accurately determine an item's status on an inquiry screen. For example, serial numbers that are coded as being damaged could be shown in red, while serial numbers on special promotions could be in pink
- To access this program, select option 7 - Order & Serial# Status Codes Table from the System Settings Menu and press Enter.
- Enter a status type of O or S, an action code, and a password if required.
- Status type O accesses the Order Status codes. These codes designate the status of individual lines on an order.
- Status type S accesses the serial number status codes. These codes designate the status of individual serial number records in inventory.
- To color code a status code, enter the code and its description.
- In the Clr Code field enter the first letter of the color you want to be associated with the code. When an Inventory Inquiry screen is accessed, any items that have been color coded appear in the designated color.
- Press F10 to display the System-Defined Status Codes that cannot have their descriptions altered.
The Order & Serial# Status File Maintenance screen displays according to the password entered on the entry screen. If the high level password for this program was used, then all status codes appear; the system defined codes as well as user defined codes. If the high level password was not entered, only the user defined codes appear. System defined order status codes are always alpha (A-Z) or special characters (#,@). User defined order status codes are 0-9 only.
To access an up-to-date listing of all the Order Status and Serial Number Codes, press F6.
Entering a high-level password allows you to access all statuses. Low-level passwords allow access to statuses that are numeric only. If you enter a high-level password, you see both system-defined status codes, such as I, L, and #, as well as user-defined status codes. Any status code can be color coded.
You can assign color codes to these codes, as well.
The color code of the serial numbers appears in inventory inquiry, item search, order entry, and allocation swapping.
